With an artist for a mother, a set designer for a grandfather and film translator for a grandmother, it seems that Diana's lot in life was cast (nice pun huh) long before she ever saw her first movie.  There is an energy and cinematic realism to her work.  Simple, surprising and unique.  A bit like Diana herself as she finds the heart of each spot, often where no one was looking in the first place.
