Harald Zwart

Born in Holland and raised in Fredrikstad, Norway, Harald Zwart began making films when he was eight. Harald Zwart is the first Norwegian director to be accepted as a member of the Director’s Guild of America and was named by Variety to its list of “10 Directors to Watch.”
Zwart received his formal training at the prestigious Dutch Film Academy in Amsterdam. Soon after he was established as one of Europe’s most successful directors.  With spots for BMW Mini, ING, Sky Television and Nokia, he has won numerous awards, including Director of the Year at the prestigious London Midsummer Awards. He is a classical trained pianist and able to make a replica of Venus of Milo from a log, using a chainsaw.
