Michael grew up in Edmonton and did a fair bit of travelling around before he settled (for now) in Toronto.
His inspiration comes more from real life experiences, stories, and characters, than from lectures and text books. Right out of the gate his direct approach and polite disregard for convention led to the 2010 'Director Of The Year' MMVA award. Recently he has been winning fans in the commercial world with some great work for Cervarix, The Olympics, and WSIB.
Michael has a never ending need to keep working and creating (we suspect this might have something to do with committment problems). He is currently at work on a new film project and his latest short film, "8 for Infiintiy" is currently making the rounds on the global festival circuit.
